Did Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick pass the BAR exam?

I know that Kwame Kilpatrick is a lawyer but, I do not know if he passed the BAR. Also, if he did pass the BAR, should his license be taken away (due to his misconduct)?

Another question I have is: If he did resign how much pension/health care would he receive? (I know he had other government positions.)

With the exception of Wisconsin (I believe), all states require that to practice law in that state, one must either sit for and pass that state's bar exam, or be admitted through reciprocity from another state. Wisconsin has a program by which a graduate from the University of Wisconsin can be admitted to practice in Wisconsin without passing the bar, if they take and pass certain courses at law schoo... but I am not licensed in Wisconsin and do not know how that program works.

Therefore, if Mr. Kilpatrick is a licensed attorney, then the odds are that he has sat for and passed a bar exam at one point in time. Remember though: its common to take the bar exam right out of law school.

His license to practice law is subject to regulation by that state's Supreme Court. If he is convicted of a crime, there will probably be a disciplinary proceeding commenced against him, which could result in his disbarment.

He's just a pure embarrassment to the city and the state. I wish he would just move to Florida full time.
