Im receiving death threats over the phone from my ex-girlfriend family while she's out on bail ?

im receiving threatning phone calls from my ex-girlfriend's family that i have charges pending against her on what can i do what shall i do and what will happen plus i have a child with her

Call the cops and tell them what her family is saying. They should go to her house to investigate. If they don't stop there, you can consult a lawyer and get them for privacy invasion, homicidal threats, that kind of thing(don't remember exact term for it). Tell the police that you don't feel safe.

At the very least you could get a restraining order on her family.

Are the charges against her for the death threats or for something else? You can call the police and tell them you are getting threats. You can have them do a search to find out where the phone calls are coming from. Do you have caller ID? they can fix it so their number doesn't show up but the phone company can track that information so report it to the police.

Does your state permit you to tape conversations to which you are a party? If so, then record the phone call. Some states do not permit taping or any audio of any conversation, even if you are a member of the party (ie.e. on the phone or with someone in person). Be sure you know which kind of state you live in. Police could do taping if they wished by getting court order.

As to the child, do you want the dhild? If she has done anything to lose custody, you might be able to get custody. If your suit against her is thrown out and she is not chared with any other crime and has been a good mom, then you wouldn't have a very good chance if she has been the caretaker.

If you have a child and she has custody, you need to pay child support to the child.

Place to begin is to contact the police though about the threats.

Everything everybody is saying here is the way to go
depending on where you live you should definitely be taping the conversations
and you should be getting a restraining order
you will be believed because she already has history of violence
you should go to the police and soon you do not want something to happen to you then who does the child have left her?
I know you don't want your child growing up with "that" for an influence....

Document, Document, Document. Day, time, as much of the message as you can write down, phone number called from. You can use this to involve the police, if need be, as they wo't be able to do much without written evidence.

contact the police - get a restraining order - get a lawyer - get custody of the child
