Family member falsely accused of murder. No money for attorney is there anything I can do to help?

This happend in Texas a few days ago. I just cant understand how he got pinned for this crime. He has the biggest heart ever and would never think of doing such a thing. Anyone who knows him knows he has been wrongly accused. The sad thing is he has no money. My whole family has come together and we still dont have enough money to hire a good attorney. I want to know if anyone out there could tell me where to look for one or anything that would help. I dont care what I have to do im willing. I have bad credit so I cant get a loan nor can anyone else in my family. He has a court appointed attorney but he is doing nothing to prove my loved ones innocence. If I thought for a second he could have done this I woulndt waste my time but we all know he didn't. Does anyone out there have any good advice??

I know and have worked with many attorneys. They say that the public defender attorneys are often very good! Sometimes better than private and they have personal relationships with the judge and accusing attorneys.
Ask around and ask for a personal reference within the system. Obviously you want the best possible.

Don't go crazy into debt for something which may not be any better!

right now, all you can do is stick with that public defender. tell him to be careful about what he says, the police and prosecution will do anything they can to get him to incriminate himself. if you can, read up on the case and keep yourself updated. where was he at the time of the murder, if he wasn't there, you can establish his alibi.
