Question about court family court10pnts? |
A mother puts a charged against someone who was involved with her youngest daughter, (14 years old in USA ) and there is a court, her daughter has to go to the court to testify or just the mother? How would be the process I am not a lawyer but I think the daughter would have to testify. According to law the accused has the right to face the accuser. You may have had the charges brought but the action in question was something done to your daughter, not you. Why not contact the family court and get a definite answer? You really need to be more detailed in what you are asking. If you are talking about statutory rape, family court doesn't play a role. Also, individuals cannot press charges against anyone. That is left up to the prosecutor and/or grand jury. All the individual can do is file a report with the authorities. |
