What are some ways that you or your family benefit from federal government expenditures?

in my town, i notice :

- roads,
- schools,
- libraries,
- fire service,
- police services,
- I can see national parks, national forests and other lands under various federal jurisdictions from my front door,
- i see antennas nearby which remind me of federal regulations of markets in radio spectrum,
- i see planes flying overhead subject to many and varied regulations,
- same for the cars and other vehicles on the road,
- i see businesses that can easily transact across state lines, - there is this whole internet thing which started as a government project,
- i see food whose safety I can trust

ok is that enough for now?

The VA Hospital in my town, just went today. SSI for my autistic boy. Special education funds.

They provide defense, policing and guarantee my legal right on a court of law.Pretty good.

Social Security.

I wish we didn't have all the "social programs" that hand out money. People should depend on themselves for their survival. If they need help they should look to their family, friends, church or local charities.

Anytime you depend on the government it costs more to administer and costs everyone a piece of their freedom from taxation. Socialism doesn't work, never has, for long.

...my drive to work each day over great roads is one way we benefit.

Child support enforcement, nuclear weapons, and public schools.
