Question about the statute of limitations on collecting inheritance?

I recently posted a question to see if I was entitled to my grandmother's inheritance and found out I am. I believe it鈥檚 called the law of in testate succession.

I doubt I will take this to court (so please don't tell me to contact an attorney) but in case I change my mind later, does anyone know what the statute of limitations is on filing the law of in testate succession against the administrator to receive my share of the inheritance?

My grandmother passed away about six years ago and I鈥檓 not sure when the estate was settled (there were no attorneys involved) but I think it was within a year of her death.

If you can provide any links on the internet that shows this I would greatly appreciate it. I live in central Illinois.

Thanks in advance!
