In California, can the beneficiary also become the executor of the estate?

is there a website i can go to to find out this information? where can i go to find a probate lawyer?

Of course, it happens all the time. The executor often is a child of the deceased, and a beneficiary of the estate. Call your local Bar for referrals.

The California state bar has a searchable list by specialty and by county. You can find an attorney in your area with probate expertise.

California has a searchable database for all 29 state codes, including the probate code. Just reading the law will not be the same as consulting your attorney who will know established and recent court decisions relevant to your situation.

Find a lawyer. Listen carefully.

That is most common. Espcially if there is only one beneficiary.
