What does it require to become an estate agent ?

What does it require to become an estate agent ?

A complete absence of scruples or integrity.

Setting aside the usual jibes, the truth is, you NEED (by way of qualifications absolutely nothing.
Estate agency is not profession, or even a trade. You need no diplomas, or specific training.
A knowledge of the Property Misdescriptions Act would be an advantage.
The US-based Remax (theya re in the UK now too) give a certain level of training whilst allowing you to be independent.
However, I think you'll find that estate agents are not recruiting at the moment, nor for some time to come.

a license, lots of time to waste, money in the bank to live on since the market is down,

In the UK, nothing at all. They are completely unregulated.

Stupidity in today's world

geographical skillz

Where are you from?

That matters.
