How can I get my money back from someone who stole 45,000$ from me? |
I gave 45,000$ to a Real Estate Company that would promise to build a hosue for me. Instead the the company ran off with my 45,000$ and I never heard from them again. Its been 4 years and everytime I make contact with the owner of the company he says he doesnt have my money yet and to come next month. I want to sue him for the 45,000 plus interest for 4 years. How can I do this? Did you have a contract in place? Some kind of proof that you gave him this money for services that were never performed? Please provide more information. if you have proof that you gave him the money then the hell with suing him. you can have him arrested and i certainly would. i mean it's been 4 yrs. it's not like you didn't give them the opportunity to honor the deal. at the very least it would be theft by deception. do whatever it takes. good luck Actually, you may be up the creek. Most charges have a statute of limitations. If you haven't done anything in 4 years, then odds are you have waited too long. Sorry to tell you this but, you really should have jumped on it sooner. Who waits 4 years before starting to think about getting back 45k? did you get a contract? do you have any papers that will prove that you are not lying?if so...get a lawyer and take the person to court.if not then you just screwed out of 45,000 plus. You can sue him...You will need proof (written, signed documents)....I strongly suggest that you consult an attorney. Oh my. Do not wait another day. You may have waited too long as it is. consult a lawyer and explain to him/her what has happened. |
