Is the administrator of an estate required to disclose the spending of an estate? |
MY OLDER SIBBLING IS THE ADMINERSTRATOR OF MY DECEASED PARENTS ESTATE AS WELL AS POWER OF ATTORNEY OF THEIR FINANCIAL MATTERS. HE DID NOT INCLUDE OR DISCLOSE ANY OF HIS SPENDING OF MY PARENTS FINANCIAL ASSETS.E.I.: SAVINGS BONDS, GOVENMENT BONDS AND OTHER ITEMS IN THE SAFTY DEPOSIT BOX. DO WE AS SIBBLINGS HAVE THE RIGHT TO SEE THE EXPENSES HE IS DEDUCTING? YOu have a right in the US to review the final accounting when it is filed with the probate court for completion; you can protest any irregularities at that point. that would depend on the how your parent wanted things given out after their death..? If your older sibbling got these items then he does not have to show them to you or tell you about them.. You have a vested interest in the estate. Consult an attorney. |
