We need to unload a vitual warehouse of my mother in laws estate. Where can we find help? |
My mother in law passed away in No. Calif. this year. She lived on a small farm with an old hanger. She was something of a pack rat. There are years of things, good and bad all stored away, and much more from the house that we need to get rid of. A lot of these items arent worth a dime, but some of them are antiques. But theres so much to go through, lots of filth, to find the treasures that we know are there. To top it off there are issues between family members and a lack of cooperation. At this point, some of us are willing to hand off the entire estate to someone that would be willing to give a lump sum. It could be profitable for someone, but we just dont have it in us to do more. Are there rummage or estate companies that do that sort of thing? Take it all away, headaches and all? There are companies who will gladly do this for either a flat fee or a percentage of total sales. Just make sure you get a company with a good reputation--check with the BBB, and also get references from clients who have used the company. There are estate companies that will put together a sale for you from start to finish. Dealers will come in first and pick through everything for their stores, then the general public. They are very efficient and well-organized. Separate it out and call antique buyers or have a flea market table or a yard sale. |
