Am i entitled to any of my step-mothers estate?

Am i entitled to any of my step-mothers estate?

If she filed a will, you are entitled to whatever you were left after debts and taxes were paid.

If she didn't file a will, you may be entitled based on teh intestancy law of the state she died in; ask the probate clerk

If there is a will, look at a copy of it.
For local advice (every state is different) go to a "probate" lawyer who specializes in inheritance. You can ask the Probate court judge's office (at your local county courthouse) for a list of lawyers who do this.

Even if she has (for example) her OWN children---if she says in her will that all her estate goes to just one of them, that's where it would go, and the other children would be left out completely.
If she has no will, unless she has legally adopted you, you are not her "heir."

If she died without a will, then the estate will be divided among her remaining natural family. If you were adopted by her, that would include you. Otherwise, unless there is a specific provision in the will for you, no you will not get anything.

Only if you are in the Will if you are not in will you probably wont get anything as you are not a blood relative

Only if you are in the will, or if you were legally adopted ,and her husband died

Only if you are named in her will. If there are noi other next of kin then you stand a chance without being named.

only if ur the only child or family! other than dat u gotta be included in the will!

No not unless you are in the will.
