Does everyone who is listed in a will entitled to receive a copy of that will from the deceased attorney? |
have had a aunts will opened within the last month and was told that i am listed as one of the inheriters of her estate but have not been officialy notified by the attorney and was wondering if i am entitled to a copy of that will and when i should receive it? you'll eventually get a notice from the executor of the estate of the status. No state law in most places requires you to get a copy; can always trott down to the probate office, get a copy and find out who is the executor If the attorney is deceased they can't give you a copy... You should receive notice of the reading of the will. Not aware of requirements to provide copies. Contact the attorney and ask when it will be read. |
