I Want Your HOuse. ( possible fraud)? |
I got a letter written in red ink saying i want to buy your house with a husband and wife's full first names and last names and their home address. It was not professional or no letterhead or appropriate stationery............. there have been many home robberies around me. might be a good idea to tell the cops about this seeing as there is a high crime rate in the area i have seen something like this used to find out if people were on vacation or otherwise not going to be home for a few days...... the place got cleaned out...... movers style u-haul and every thing claimed they were repo guys to the only nighbor who said anything even had fake court doccuments saying they could gain acesws to the house without the occupents being there...... heck of a way to come home from a weekend getaway... There is no law against someone expressing an interest in buying your home. It's not fraud unless they take some action to obtain your property without paying, or by providing false financial documentation. can give a copy to them. keep the other. |
