Beneficiariares to an Estate?

My Uncle,a British National, who was born in Malaysia and lived there for most of his life died recently in Malaysia. He has two surving sisters and one deceased brother. The deceased brother was my father. Under British law the share of the estate that my father would have received would go to me and my sister. Would British law still apply in this case?

Depends on where the property is. His wealth in England would follow those laws, and by treaty may follow his homeland. Talk to a solicitor and get some advice by those that know.
