I was left an inheritance from my dads estate----? |
he passed away Oct. 2007, when can I expect to hear anything? Yeah, probate is a pain. Depends on how many beneficiaries there are, how much the estate was worth, etc. If there was a will filed for probate, talk to the administrator. Most states hold distribution untill about a year after the will is filed and probate opened to be certain that all claims have been paid It depends on how fast the Administrator of your dads estate works with the court to get it down. Some take 6 months others a few years! |
