Just plain unacceptable?

I possess on my land an estate village, built for my servants on the understandings that they keep their cottages clean and well-kempt, and do not produce an excessive amount of noise.

It came to my attention this morning that one occupant, Shork's 97-year-old mother, has not been seen for three days, that her alarm has been going off incessently for that time, that there are bottles of milk on her doorstep that are going off, newspapers hanging out of the letter box and her curtains are closed, whilst the window is open, and has been since Thursday evening.

As all of the above contravene my letting contract I've a good mind to go down there right now and turf her into the street, or at least the old people's home, regardless of Shork's pleadings and entreaties.

What do you propose I do?

You must face the possibility that the old bag has croaked, so your next course of action is to get another tenant in ASAP, after all you don't want to lose money on the property. Send in a member of staff to investigate, if she is dead, get her shifted out before she smells, the cost of removal of her and the detritus outside can be recovered from her estate, should she have any. If not, then take it out of Shorks wages, just remember time is the essence, no tenant no money. If however, the old bag is still kicking twist her arm till she coughs up money for the cleaning, then boot her out.

You must stop impersonating Gordon Brown- hehe.

i think she is dead RIP mrs shork x

Read another story.

Call the police and have them do a welfare check on her. If she's alive, you can learn from the police what is going on. She slacking.....to the old folks home. She's sick....to the hospital and then the old folks home. She's dead.....well, clean things up and bill the estate or family.

Maybe Shork's elderly mother is ill, and still in the cottage. Proceed slowly, and with compassion, until you know for certain that she is not inside and that your landlordly rights are being deliberately ignored by Shork and/or his mother.

Burn it down.

Sounds to me you should call a funeral director. And if you have nothing better to do with your life than to consider whether to make people homeless or not than what a life for you, you poor unfortunate thing you!!!!!!
