Can an individual raffle off a car (nothing to do with charity)? |
I have a lease vehicle and I cannot make the payments. With the recent news and people raffling off real estate to pay off their mortgages, and giving the winner of the raffle the home, I was wondering if I can do this with my new vehicle. Does anyone know if it is possible and legal in New Jersey and how to get something like that started? I really dont know but check with an attorney and do it; what a great Idea! No, it would be considered running a gambling operation, which triggers all kinds of legal ramifications. It may be possible, but you would have to incorporate a business, get a gambling permit, etc. You should see an attorney for this. |
