Simpson Estate Inc, downtown chicago,il? |
grandmother past in november,2006, my mom is benificiary. mom received a check from the realty company where my grandmother lived. her checking account was closed prior to receiving the check. mom was told that she needs a paper stating something about estates. grandmother didnt have an estate, no property , just insurance that covered burial. mom was told to go downtown chicago, to this place listed above to get this paper. need to know if paper can be obtained from internet, or is this correct infomation? ok, well first she did have an estate. You said that there was a check from a realty company. That counts as an estate. The insurance check for burial is also part of the estate. Your state has a government web site. In it there is the Tresurary Department. There is something called the Escheats Office. That is where everybodys money from their estate goes if it hasn't been claimed. It takes a while for it to get into the Escheats Office though. If there is any estate to be collected your State Government is the party responsible to get the money to you. If this Simpson Estate Inc is charging you, then you are for sure in the wrong place. |
