Getting CA Real Estate License With Expungement.....? |
Hi, I wanted to if I still will have problems getting my California real estate license if I had an old felony expunged from my record and dropped to a misdameanor? I'm set to take the state exam soon. Thanks When a felony is reduced to a misdemeanor, it becomes a misdemeanor for all purposes, so you can say you have not been convicted of a felony. However, "expungment" in California under Penal Code section 1203.4 does not remove a conviction from your record. When a state licensing board is involved, you have to reveal the conviction, but you can say that the conviction was dismissed. |
