I need some help about Limited power of attorney real estate? What you need is a special power of attorney limited to the real estate and mortgage loan transactions. The power of attorney will be recorded along with the mortgage in the land records of the county where the real estate is located. I've done this a few times and although I am a lawyer, I have never gotten one of my power of attorney documents past the title company. So, if you've found the house, find a title company and ask them for the form they'd like you to use. There's nothing worse than presenting a perfectly valid attorney-drafted power of attorney to be told by a non-attorney closing officer that it is not good enough. |
