What environmental issues would you identify as constituting a concern for a community?

Especially in New York.

In big city.
Rubbish.
With plastics.
In out of town?
Less pesticides and weedicides.
in destroying the streams and rivers.
Not forgetting the bees.
With all the bees gone.
Who is going to do the cross-pollination for food on the tables?
How do we epect the little one to survive in time with no food on the tables?
Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49
What do you think?

Inadequate sewage systems have a rather dramatic effect on the enviroment of a city; as does garbage strikes. You really don't want to be in cities with those problems.

More subtle issues that go without much notice include:

Lead and other unwanted particles in the city's tap water.
Excessive above ground wiring (power and telephone lines).
Noise pollution.
Smog and carbon monoxide.

Carbon emissions (affects all, but huge emitter)

Water quality

Water capacity (how are the dams going?)
