Finding an Environmental Lawyer? |
A major energy company has requested to test the soil in my neighborhood. We suspected for years that the soil has been contaiminated with carcitigens. Recently the company tour down its facility that occupied half a city block for expansion. Men were wearing environmental suits while working on the property. In the past 10 years, 80% of the people who died within a three block radius of this property died of cancer. We think this a cancer cluster zone. The energy company has requested that we sign papers authorizing them to test our soil. Before we do, we want to consult with an environmental lawyer based in NYC. I called my local bar association and they have no recommendations. I'm hoping someone will respond this question. I would contact an environmental lawyer.
