How do you get into environmental law?

Aside from studying law, what is a good way to get into environmental law? What B.S. should you study? What else is required? How long does it take? How much do you tend to make?

You'd want to look into colleges that have good environmental studies programs. It would get you a BS and then you can attend law school which has a good environmental law program. Including the years attending school for the BS degree, studying for and taking the LSAT, and then the 3 years in law school - you could be looking at 5-6 years (depending on if you already have your general studies done)

On the income for a job in environmental law, that would depend. If you get a job with a large company you'd probably make more than smaller non-profit agencies.

First thing you have to do is lose half your brains cells, then take a stance environmentally and don't budge from it!

Not sure about the specifics with regards to Environmental Law but I can tell you the best law school to go to for that: Vermont Law School in South Royalton VT.

A possible starting place might be to contact Prescott College in Prescott, AZ. They do lots of work in environmental-type studies. Web site: www.prescott.edu

Good luck.
