My Environmental Studies teacher said there was a limit to the amount of pro bono work a lawyer can do. He did not say this was in california, but after searching for the information on the web i found that there were many bars that could impose such a requirment so i am enclosing that as well. If you know please tell me. Please give me a way to look it up if possible so i can verify the information before taking it as the word of GOD. Thanks Yes, he will starve to death if he does too much, but there is never a legal limit on how much work of any kind a person is able to do for free.
You should ask your teacher why he thinks that.
If the lawyer wants to work for free there is not even an agency to which the lawyer must report the work. |
