If white people had an Al Sharpton, would it be racist?

Or how about WET (White Entertainment Television)? If there was a white guy standing up for white people's rights, he would probably be called a white supremacist. Any thoughts?

Yep... I think the same questions every February when Black History Month comes around! And when I have to help my niece with college tuition. It does not make sense!!!

i think there are a lot around ,and they stand out but they are ignored as racists unless they slip bad.but like sharpton they come back but the label does not always follow or their actions are made questionable ,its nice to be the majority thats one of the benefits that exists in the gray.if you were black how would you feel .their rights are constantly erroding and it aint from the sun or wind its from the droplets like this question that keep working away at the work others hv done to bring a more balanced society.

The big difference is the whites are still the clear majority in the US and we have not been held down, or back because of our skin color.

Yes he would be considered racist. Racism is everywhere, there is no denying that and it is not all one sided. Many programs were created such as BET, NAACP, Miss Black America, and The United ***** College Fund because of segregation. They were not allowed to participate in the white programs. Of course times have changed and we could do away with most of these programs now but I do not see it happening. It does not bother me that they have these programs. If I wanted to attend a College that was mainly African American I could and practically go for free because they have quotas to meet based on race just like any other college. I am proud to be white and I am proud of my heritage. They are entitled to feel the same about theirs.
