Is this fair?......?

I live in an apartment with a couple other guys, one of them isnt supposed to live here but we have an extra bedroom and he pays half of what we pay for rent. I am moving out next month because I am graduating college and moving in with my girlfriend to get away from the college scene, drinking (i dont drink) and everything else that goes along with it. I wont be at the apartment too much during this month and I told them that I dont want to pay for cable and electricity because I wont be here (our other roomate moved back home for the summer and he doesnt pay those bills while he's gone.) So my roomates told me that I should pay the bills because I stop by here and there for a couple hours at a time. (between classes and work). Everything here is mine, the TV, the entertainment center, the furniture. I told them that I was going to cancel the cable because I wont be here but they told me to keep it on (its under my name). Do you think I should have to pay for the bills?

I think you should cancel the cable and move your things out...let them worry about everything else.

Not at all. I would cancel everything that's in my name, and take all my stuff away if they told me to keep paying anything once I moved out.

No way, cancel the stuff (if they want it, get it transferred in their name) and mooove. If you keep the bills in your name you will be legally responsible.

lol you getting a lesson in life that they dont teach in classrooms..NO! cancel the cable let your "buds" know you outta ther and only pay for what you use and thats it!! Sorry this is a life lesson in aggression..if you dont take a stand now.. it may affect you latter and theses guys may be kool and be your freinds but look out for your self and your girl.....if the bills are in your name ,they should thank you for letting them watch your cable and throw you and few extra bucks...anyway be kool, pay your share..call tomm to get it sdisconnected on a certain date so you dont have to worry about it and tell them your plans and everything will be ok.....trust me

i dont think u should have to pay the bill and i dont think u should even leave it on maybe u should talk to them if they come up wih some idea then leave it on other wise dont it could turn into an ugly situation and good luck in to moving wit ur girl friend soon i am going to do the same with my bf he is going to move in some apartment so we can live together as well but good luck in your future decisions.now remeber dont leave it on if they make u pay the bill ok it'll be an ugly situation if it get's worse and it always does.
