Isit any wonder why the world is messed up when Teachers are paid less than football players?

Our future is worth less than a game? The success of our children is worth less than our entertainment? Laws allow and tempt young children to quit school at 16 or 17 and then expect them to have wisdom , they rase our taxes to punnish them in jail for learning out on the streets instead of in schools. And putting the burden on us for welfare to feed those children that grew up ignorant and can not get a job now that they have grown up.

the community pays the teachers, the free enterprise system pays the football players movie stars and other entertainers. after all football layers are really entertainers. what about bonuses issued to executives even when their company has a loss instead of a profit?

Yours is a rhetorical question, but you make your points well.

As with all liberal philosophy, policies and values, you have started with some huge fallacies in your logic and reasoning. First, you basically deny the whole concept of supply and demand. There are a whole lot fewer football players than there are teachers. Even top notch ones. Second, Teachers are very seldom injured on the job. Kids mostly quit school because their parents are too tired to supervise them because both have to work to pay taxes. Government is not the solution, it is the problem. Lowering taxes would allow one parent to stay home and care for the kids. Government does an awful job of raising kids. Even a liberal will have to admit that.

The majority of the citizens of this country made this situation. They can unmake it too. Will they? Probably not.

Since the majority of citizens value sports games over education, they won't change it.

The citizens have empowered the entertainment industry to such a great degree that even copyright laws have been modified to suit those big conglomerates rather than the citizen.

There is latent power in the citizenry. But it is going to waste at present.

What is worse is the teachers don't have the right to correct. We have idiots with college diplomas telling us we might hurt 'Johnny's' self esteem, while his mother stands there and lies for him. My generation is at fault we wanted to live through our children's lives. To see our children's name in lights and hear their praises made our sacrifices worth it. We praise a child for running a mile under 4 minutes but condemn him for not being able to write his name. If momma and daddy were told to shut up and little 'Johnny' got his butt spanked, things might be different.
I graduated with nine other boys, there was another but he drowned before we made it. There were no sports figures in my class, our toughest game was table tennis. We are 65 plus and have lost others in the group with cancer and car wrecks.
