How does Hollywood get around child labor laws as to hours per day of work allowed for young children...? |
...seeing as I'm sure that the young kid stars are working many hours per day during movie shoots. Even if they are majorly paid. The laws are pretty strict, and both the SAG and the CA DoL have observers on set to make sure they are obeyed. They don't. Production companies are required to follow the law and even hire people who are on-set to make sure the laws are complied with. They have to have tutors on-set too, if work interferes with education. Hollywood loves twins in single roles. you can't tell the difference, but only one of them is on the set at any one time. They don't. There are persons on every set responsible for child welfare, the rules are followed very strictly. Their working time is documented to the minute to avoid violations. I don't think Hollywood is part of the USA |
