My son was chg w sexual assault at 17.now hes ruined 4 life what kind of job can he get.he has a baby 2care4.?

he was polygraphed and found innocent, however a trial was out of our finances.it was her word against his, he is unable to find work even though he is not a felon his was a plea he took.please help.we need help to find him employment.

First, a polygraph doesn't find you innocent. It's not even admissible as evidence in a trail.

Second, finances have nothing to do with whether or not a case goes to trial. That's why there are public defenders and legal aid firms.

BTW, It's not likely a charge of sexual assault against a seventeen-year-old was adjudicated in juvenile court. And even if it were, the notion that it's "sealed" is a myth. It's contained in about a dozen computers, in files, and in the minds of all those involved in the case. Anyone who really wants to can, and will, find out about it.

As for employment, any job that doesn't require a back round check (medical, law enforcement, child care, etc) isn't going to know, since they only ask if you've been convicted of a felony. Unless he's still on probation or parole. In that case, you may have to go through the corrections department. They usually have info on places willing to hire.

it is a juvenile record and he will not have to put it on his applications when he turns 18. until then, lie. i think you are blowing it up more then it is.

There are public defenders; better than none at all.
Anyway, it's a juvenile record; cannot be revealed.
