What results are there for employment tribunals for unfair dismissal?

I don't know whether to continue with my case or just give up. Solicitors fees are getting just too much.

Why did you go to a solicitor. You should have went to the citizens Advice Bureau they would have helped you. It all depends on your case, A lot depends on whether the company followed the correct procedures. If the company are definitely in the wrong you should win your case, get compensation and your previous employer should have to pay your legal fees. Check with the CAB even though you have a solicitor to see what they say.

Good luck

If ever there was a case for someone to join a union then this is it.
Your solicitor obviously thinks you have a good case otherwise he wouldn't have took it on. But it can take several months and a lot of money before it comes to the tribunal.
Depending on what you are claiming for will depend on the amount of compensation you can expect to receive but there is a maximum level and your solicitor should have told you this, if you are only going to end up with your name cleared you have to ask yourself is it worth it.
CAB are volunteers and will only give advice they will not represent you at an employment tribubal. You could represent yourself but you will have to be confident and i have seen many tribunal cases won by individuals who stood up for themselves.
Why didn't you contact a no win no fee solicitor?

If you win your claim the Tribunal can consider ordering a reinstatement or simply make an award of compensation. It's disappointing that you appear to have a solicitor but are apparently unsure of what you are claiming for or what your chances of success are.Have you not asked the solicitor for advice 1) on your chances of winning and 2) how much he/she thinks you might be awarded also 3) what the final legal bill is likely to be ?

There are some funny answers on here! You are very unlikely to get your solicitors' costs paid by the other side, but I guess your solicitor would have told you this to begin with.

I don't know if you'll win or not, Were you to instruct me, or any other employment barrister, you'll have a good idea, but many cases come down to decisions on facts; so it depends who the tribunal believe.

good luck.

Well, you don't want your job back (if you have any sense at all) so what are your remaining options? Frankly, I'd just move on.
