Do state employment laws apply to all stores?

If you have stores in all 50 states, and there are certain state laws, in say, Maryland, do those Maryland laws apply to all of your stores, or just in Maryland?

Just in the state where the store is located, or rather stores located in that state.

Like minimum wage may be 5.15 federally, but in cali you can't earn less than like $8 now.

The store itself, however, might have a policy for ALL their stores.
