How do you answer an interrogatory

My husband and I have been given an interrogatory to fill out, since we don't have the money for an attorney we are trying to do this all ourselves, unfortunately, the last time we were in court we were told it had been filled out wrong.
An example of what we did:
INTERROGATORY NO. 1: Please state the name, address, telephone number and position of employment of all persons who assisted in preparing or provided factual information used in the following anwers to there interrogatories and requsts for production of documents.
OUR ANSWER: Chester Mayhew, 1313 Lawn Dr., Tresway, KY, our phone number, self employed.
Apparently, the way it was answered is wrong. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much.......

The question asks who helped you and what documents did you use to fill out the interrogatory. The magic word here is "assisted".

The question asked for the name, address and telephone number, as well as the position of employment of all persons that helped to answer the questions. Giving your name, address and other information is unnecessary. The court wants to know who gave you legal advice in filling out the form. If nobody did, write N.A.

You are now going to have to put Yahoo Answers (seriously).

The question is asking you to reveal everyone you spoke with or consulted with prior to Answering the Interrogatories. It is so they can go to those sources, if they wish, and discuss that with them (in a deposition for example). This question is not asking for your own employment information.

If you're Jewish, with an interrogatory.

idk.
