What can I do if I am denied employment based on an arrest even though I wasn't convicted? |
For about a year I had a pending case because my ex boyfriend accused me of stealing his credit card. Finally, on June 24, it was dropped to a violation and I do not have a record. While the charges were pending I got denied one job, now I job I am supposed to start just let me know they can't hire me, even though I was never convicted. Legally, is there anything I can do? Can I sue the company? Can I sue my ex boyfriend? Please help. Depends on where you live, but generally, in the US, nothing you can do. |
