Can my boss sue me? |
My boss fired me on 7/7 and is yet to pay me my wages. He keeps saying the check is in the mail. I want to email him and curse him out but his attorney says that I am not allowed to contact my former boss about my previous employment or any of the current employees. My former boss is being a real jerk and is not responding to his attorney's request to provide me with a tracking number for the package containing my last check. I am really fed up and I want to email my former boss and let him have it cause he is playing games with my money and causing financial hardship! If you pay me $75 I will strangle your ex-boss, and I have a buddy who is a butcher and he will take care of his body. Don't contact him. Contact the Labor Department. Nothing like putting a bunch of anger in writing after you've been told not to by a lawyer. Why not just call him, and after you get the tracking number from his secretary by asking nicely, then you wait for the check to come, or contact dept of labor and get them on his ***. Then you're out of the mix. File a suit against him in small claims court. He has to pay you and he will also have to reimburse you for the costs of going to court. The labor board could take forever. Contact the local office of the US Department of Labor. Do not contact you boss. There also may be a similar state agency which can help you. I would go to the local employment office, and file charges against him. They can force him to pay you. Contact Labor and Industries. Definately do not contact your boss in any way if you have been informed by his attorney not to do so!! Report your boss to the Labor Board. Don't send him an e-mail letting out all of your frustrations...Bad idea. |
