Is it better to quit your job while on suspension? |
was suspended 3 months ago it was nothing to do with with job or employees it was a private matter that was brought to my employers attention. I have been at the same employment for nearly 15 years with a 100% perfect record If you were arrested for possession of drugs, yes they have a right to suspend you. Or something that involves the Police. But, if this private matter WAS strictly private, whatever it was, I would have found out WHO brought it to your company's attention, and WHY he/she would do such a thing, such as, wanting your job or just didn't like you. Then pleaded your case with the company. I hope you have done this already! But, 3 months! That's a long time! Everybody makes mistakes at one time or another, and with your perfect record, that should have counted for something. How long is this suspension supposed to last? You didn't say? I would check this out with an attorney. Your rights maybe have been violated by not giving you a fair trial! Even murderers get that much! Do this before you decide to quit, and, OH! are they paying you for being on the "bench"? They can't leave you in limbo like this. As I don't know the actual circumstances, this is the best advice I can give you. Good luck, and God Bless. If you want to get a reference from them, and after 15 years I would, I'd wait till the suspension has finished, get back in their good books and then quit |
