How to determine percentage of white collar employees in recent years?

I need to figure out what the trend in employment in the past few years has been for white collar workers? I was told it was a decrease, but I need to verify this with some evidence. I tried the DOL website, but have trouble finding my answer. Anyone?

With the export of so many "blue collar" jobs its only reasonable that white collar and "service industry" jobs are on the increase. In fact service industry IS on the increase as that will be the roll of the US economy down the road and into the future.
