Does Northrop Grumman currently offer its employees paternity leave during the first year of their employment?

If so is it paid?

I know that as of 2007 they did not offer employees paternity leave during the first 2 years of employment but I've heard that changed as of May of this year.

My husband just accepted a position at Northrop Grumman. We moved to MD over the weekend and he started yesterday. I am worried though because I am 12 weeks pregnant, we are 1500 miles from home and I will know no one when we finally settle in to wherever we finally move to. I have 2 toddlers ages 2 and 4. I must have a c-section and spend 3 days in the hospital (I have vertical c-sections which are harder to recover from). So I am concerned that he won't be able to take off any work and I'll have to juggle 2 toddlers and a newborn come December.

Any advice or info is appreciated. THANKS!

It is a federal law now. but believe me it may not help his career. Document all this though medically and it will probably be OK. It is not exactly like he is taking it to just spend time with you and baby......
