What's the Employment Standards Act? |
I was wondering what is it and whats its purpose? Does it harm or benefit? The Employment Standards Act protects the rights of employees. It sets out wage standards, overtime rules, premiums for working Holidays, termination rights and so on. It is a provincial Act, and therefore the details vary depending on what province you are in. Do a search from your provincial website to get specific details. Employment standards are enforced under the Employment Standards Act, which sets out the minimum standards that employers and employees must follow. What state or country are you in? |
