Bullying in the Workplace? |
My girlfriend is currently working at a carehome and her boss is being well lets say less than pleasent. Just to clarify it's a family run business and the only person higher is her husband. Get your girlfriend to throw on the sick through stress/trauma. Then you write a covering letter with the sick note explaining that she is unwell and burnt out through bullying at work, forward on a copy to the DWP. Send to the employer. find out who the boss's boss is - or What !! Join a Union and fight for you rights! Don't give up, and run away to another employer. Why should she leave? The care home is at fault. Under the 'Health and Safety at Work Act 1974' they have a duty of care towards their employees, not only health and safety, but, well being also. If she's working in a caring environment she should join a union, you never know when someone might wrongly accuse you of abuse etc. he is in direct contravention of the fairness at work regulations 1998 these regulations were designed to stop bullying in the workplace by either management and co-workers. http://www.eef.org.uk/sheffield/whatwedo... Yes he is breaching the dignity at work law. Tell her to go to citizens advice and they will be able to point her in the right direction.. CAB I think the boss should be reported. |
