Employee Verification?

I left my previous employer on bad terms. She made numerous promises she never kept and it was just a nightmare employment situation. I've sinced left that terrible company but what happens when my new employer calls to verify my employment with them?

can she bring up all the beef we had with each other?

what can/will she say?

most employers keep it to time served and reason left. Check with the NLRB if you think something else is happening there
