I was searched under prevention of terrorism act during the search the police found out my job and said?

they would tell the person that is responsible for my employment and that they thought it would mean that I couldn't work anymore. During the search nothing of any interest to the police was found, will they still tell my employer and is this legal? This was in london? I work in London?

Ferarribabe, I was searched for taking photos near city hall on the day of the mayoral result near the press area, I said I was sorry and didn't know it was a problem, I am a keen amatuer photographer and have many photos of london going back years, I can't tell you my job. and no they have no reason to still suspect me of any offence.

If nothing of interest to them was found I seriously doubt if they would go to all the trouble of letting your employer know. And also, if you've done absolutely nothing wrong, there's no reason for you to lose your job. If it does come to that I personally would scream 'unfair dismissal!'

Doubt they will tell organisation, unless they want to do some follow up info on you. In light of what you said this seems unlikely.
Even if they do,,,the organisation will probably question you about this first, before they decide to suspend your membership.

It is impossible to give an opinion based on the scant information you have given. Was there any justification for your being searched? Do the Police have any reason to continue to suspect you even though the search didn't turn up anything?

if you contact the police and talk to someone about this im sure youd get an answer. i wouldnt think they could do that but.

I dont live in London or any part of UK, but that sounds like something that could only happen in a dictatorial/fascistic country.
