I had put in my resignation papers on 5 feb 2008,no communication from employer even after 60 days? |
I had put in my resignation from employment on 5 feb 08, and had sent in a reminder after 30 days, but even after 60 days of rendering resignation , i have not recieved relieving letter nor any communication in the matter from concerned authority. Now in this juncture how i have to go about I can understand under what circumstances you might have been forced to have send the resignation letter through post. Under these circumstances it would be a better option for you to approach an advocate and issue a legal notice to this effect and seek the completion of the remaining formalities. These kind of arbitrary and unreasonable acts of the employers are common, under these circumstances best resolve would be to approach a "LAW" for help. Remember legal provisions support the employees more than the employers. I don't know where you work, but after 2 weeks I would have left. must meet your superior or the person to whom you have addressed your resignation. I am really surprise how come you are wating from last 60 days, within 5-6 days you shoud back to your manager, and get the raeply, because only mail is not the correct way, he might me tell you I not received any mail from your side, what communication is required by your company, you put in your resignation,OK when the time you listed expiresthen you quit going to work.they dont need to do anything or contact you.If you resigned ,but sitll are going to work, they would logically assume your not leaving.If you are then file again and when the itme ends,dont go to work anymore!!! thats what resigned means.Or are you one of those people that expected your boss to get your papers and come kiss your butt to get you to stay,I know we dont do that here,if you send me your papers that your leaving effective the 1st, if you show up the 2nd,your pass cards not going to work, in fact I often just contact security and personnel as soon as I get a resignation leter and give the person their outright release that day,no sense risking anything keeping them around,quitting isnt a negotiating tactic,so I dont make offers or concessions once a resignation is offered,I just terminate them and cut their final checks. only written communicaiton is never the right way . u must meet your boss at the earliest and communicate your reasons properly in a positive manner |
