Compliance officer???

Hi all...

I was alerted by post that a compliance officer from the job centre is to visit me at home tomorrow and i'm unsure as to why this would be, i called the job centre when i got the letter through last week and was told that the lady was unable to comment as the compliance officer carry's all the files with him/her.

I am really worried as i dont know anyone who has had this kind of visit before.

I am a single parent with 3 kids, youngest is only 5 months old so i know it wont be to do with me seeking employment.

Can anyone help ease my mind, sometimes these people are really intimidating

many thanks

The chances are there may have been some kind of report to the benefits hot line, or she wants to talk about you returning to work.

If there are no problems with your claim its someone malicious, but be prepared for some in depth questioning.

For example you state your a single parent so make sure there is not a razor in the bathroom or an additional toothbrush and no other persons names are on your household bills.

you are being investigated for fraud, no ifs no buts.
