Would you be honest and tell what you think if you didn't need a reference from your boss?

Right. My boss changed my work conditions so I decided to leave. It is a constructive dismissal. He put somebody with zero experience into my position (specialist dental nurse) while I was off sick (serious injury, in hospital, proper medical notes provided). Actually, they hired the girl just the week when I came back to work. Before they had several temps that were openly offered my job. They also withheld my sick pay for two months etc.
I do not need a reference from my boss! I have 5 fantastic references from my dentists (that got fired overnight for no reason and replaced too).
Shall I be honest in my resignation letter? Not rude, just to say that I don't agree with being replaced after 3years of employment by a person with no dental experience. Something honest, straight and truthful.
Has anybody done it? Did it make you feel any better?
I do have a new career lined up. Better money, conditions...should leave it behind but I feel bitter for what they have done.

If you can be honest without being rude and emotional I say go for it. The problem with that is if you are bitter your letter is going to sound rude because of your emotions. Write it out and let a friend read it and tell you if you should send it.

Honesty is always the best policy. Unless it's a stupid thing to do. This would be.
