Do You Believe That Credit Checks for Employment is an Unfair Practice? |
... to find certain types of employment? It is disgusting and 100 per cent unfair. It has NOTHING to do with your ability. This is why it's bad to work for other people. yes I think it is unfair sterotyping Yes it is unfair! It needs to be stopped! Yes, it's unfair...especially as a screening method. no,if you dont pay your debts than you are a higher risk for theft period. pretty black and white if you ask me.there are to many people who want it all but they just forget to pay for it. Not unfair if you need to handle money! Absolutlely unfair. Not really no. It's a decent indicator of how responsible a person is and from me experience even those with really bad scores have not been turned down. An employer has a right to know what type a person he`s hiring. This would just be one factor. Such as you wouldnt want some one with a bad credit history working in a bank, or any type of government job where wher secure information might be compromised.Such as certain jobs in the military , FBI , IRS, ect........... normaly, but not always people with a long history of bad debt , dont do a very good job of taking care of bussiness., and are for the most part irresponsible. Its possible they might be hard to trust. But all is not lost. Credit counciling ,comanies that specialize in debt consolidation , can go along way is showing an act of good faith and responsibility. You can at least try to fix the problem.by taking responsible action. good luck!!!! |
