What do employers look for in a pre-employment physical?

I have never been asked to take a pre-employment physical exam. An employer is interested in me and asked me to do this. I don't do drugs, but I am on an anti-depressant. Can they screen for this and what else are they looking for in a full physical?

ALSO: What do they test? Your blood, your urine? What else?

since you're pregnant should you still be taking
an anti-depressant? You should talk to you're doctor about that first off. Yes they can find out if you are pregnant in a full physical. That shouldn't be what they are looking for though. It is mainly to find out if there is anything that you have that can prevent you from doing your job, or if your on drugs. They will test your urine and possibly your blood. It is most likely a physical for their medical plan. Good Luck

Illegal drug tests are common. Basically the physical part is to identify any condition that could impair you from being able to do the job.

The last time I had a pre-employment physical, they didn't like my blood pressure and disqualified me on the spot.
