Arkansas Law??? Employment??

My husband and I moved to Arkansas from New Jersey and found the laws here where so different from home. We need some insight to what can be done about this situation.

My husband works for a company that refuses to pay overtime, although it is Arkansas Law. When he questionee them about it they said they cant afford it.
Also, he then was given the title "manager" and we are assuming that was to try to make him exempt from recieving overtime pay..although 99 % of his work was still laborer work, and according to the exemption rule he would have to be doing more than 80% of his work as a manager.
Now, they have given him a salary.
But when he does overthe road work, hauling shipments from one state to another, he is suppose to recieve "line-hall" payment. But the company, gives him the line hall after they have subtracted a certain amount of money off of his salary for the day or days he was over the road?
What is legal or illegal about there practices and what can we do ?

Yes, thankyou, I know that they are a hire and fire at will state. However, he does make a salary now. Past overtime, for him and his co-workers, and past employees is the issue.
But my main issue for the moment is them subtracting from his salary each day that he is doing an over the road job for them where there is a "line-hall'

My advice, since I'm not an expert on AR law, is to talk to a laywer.

Title mgr {they can work him as much as they like } Workers without title have more perks

arkansas is a right to work state..they can hire and fire at will. and since hes on salary they dont have to pay overtime. call the arkansas labor board and file a complaint. i live in arkansas and i know what you mean..i lived in Indiana and it was WAY better to work there
