Under employment, woman vs men? |
We always hear about the statistics that men are paid more for certain jobs, and that men have more of the higher paying jobs. Nobody ever shows the statistics on underemployment of woman vs men. I've worked as a security guard and a mailroom clerk most of my coworker were college grads and all men. Whereas at different companies the workforce is like 60% female or more. The Census Bureau recently released a report that details the earning discrepancy between men and women. The results are not heartening. what does that have to do with underemployment? I wasn't asking about salary differences within fields. A manager earns more than a security guard weather a man or woman. Report It I know for a fact that mail clerks & sec. guard are the lowest paid in a co. the other jobs REQUIRE some college & they're compensated for it. Report It Ok..what are you asking exactly?....no one is answering because there isn't a coherent question here. You're raising two distinctly different questions - compensation as regards to gender and ratio of men to women in the workplace (possibly the breakdown of gender domination in specific occupations). |
