Why in public sector employment if you are not up to the job are you allowed to resign with a golden handshake

conduct that would earn instant dismissal and prosicution in any other walk of life is often rewarded with a big payoff and a pension in the public sector.

its only tax payers that pay the golden handshakes and the outrageous pension schemes

Government employees have a very strong union.

because they look out for each other knowing they might be in the same situation someday , total scum of the earth .

It happens in both public and private sectors - but only to the higher paid jobs.

Take Angelo Mozillo of Countrywide Mortgages. His company was a major player in pushing subprime mortgages. He failed, and yet he was just about to walk away with an $80m severance package before he was pushed by public pressure to relinquish it.

It happens in all areas, and you're more likely to hear about it in publicly traded private sector companies and the public sector.
